Our Gothia Squad played a hard fought game against the Football West NTC Girls U15's on Wednesday evening as part of their preparations for the Gothia Cup in July.
Playing only their second game together, the girls were understandably a little less organised than their opponents in the 1st 20 minutes, but then started to play some good passing football and took the lead after 30 minutes.
NTC fought back and scored a well worked equaliser just before half time. They then applied a lot of pressure in the second half, but a combination of great goalkeeping, disciplined defending and a little luck saw our girls hold on for a 1-1 draw.
Coach Ally McMurdo was understandably happy after the game and praised the girls for their effort and attitude.
Well done girls, and we wish you all the best for the tournament in Gothenburg in July.
