Treble Glory Beckons

Our Premier league double winning team will be looking to complete an historic treble tomorrow, when they take on Queens Park in the Top 4 final at Macedonia Park.

No team has won the League, Cup and Top 4 in one season, and if we were to win, then it would be an amazing achievement to cap off what has already been an amazing season.

Winning the game won't be easy though, as Queens Park are fearsome opponents and every game against them this season has been a close and intense affair.

The game could well be won and lost in midfield, and our pairing of Shawn Billam and Carla Bennett will have to be at the very top of their games to overcome Queens Park's Shannon May, Sadie Lawerence and Jaymee Gibbons.

Behind that midfield pairing is our back four, and this season they have proven to be very difficult to beat. Kim Carroll and Bronwyn Studman have marshalled the defence superbly, and with full backs Katie Moth and Mel Doeglas there is plenty of pace to combat the fastest of attacks.

Behind them is young Morgan Aquino, who has had an outstanding season and shown why she is currently in the Young Matildas squad.

Up front, young Tiahna Botha has proven to be a real handful this season. The experienced Renee Leota is always capable of undoing the meanest of defences so if we can keep a clean sheet we may well be able to claim this unique treble.

Whatever the result, we're incredibly proud of what this amazing group of talented players have achieved already this season.

Coach Conrad McKelvie gave us his thoughts in the video below.
